Jana: Well, Sydney was a lot of fun.

Jana: Not as much.

Jana: There is some homework for us to think about.

Jana: And it's a similar kind of feeling I get in Japan.

Jana: And the actual living costs might not be that high.

Jana: So at that time I didn't really enjoy that environment.

Jana: That's right so maybe students would complain if we don't have any tests.

Jana: Well, I haven't been a student in Japan but I can sort of compare from my experience.

嘉娜：我没有在日本上过学，不过我可以从我的经验来比较一下。

Jana: That's a very good question. Yeah, just to use the language, right? That's the main project isn't it?

Jana: That's right and on the other hand you might attend physically but you're not really paying attention.

Jana: And in the real life they won't be taking tests any more. They need to be able to apply the knowledge, right?

“He was my first love, ” Jana says. “Whenever we watched a film in school, we held hands under the desk in the dark!”

Peter: So we're both teaching at university and I was curious, Jana, what do you think about giving students homework?

Jana: Yeah, I lived in a share house with other students. It's a really common thing to do in Sydney because the rent is so expensive.

Peter: So, Jana, you told me that you'd been a student in three different countries and now you're teaching in Japan which is yet another different country.
